After every birth, I make sure I do ab exercises to get things back in check as soon as possible and breastfeeding significantly helps my wombs pop back into shape too, which is very important post pregnancy.
I always experience what I call the 5mth spread, where after getting things relatively back to pre pregnancy fitness, I lose focus on it and my abs get abandoned.
I guess it's because 5ths is one of the growth spurt times in babies, some start teething, move around more so you have to be very vigilant and on your toes with them, they start sitting up and for some parents solids have been introduced, which in many cases I strongly disagree with, but that's for another post.
So at 9 1/2 mths old, my youngest is off doing his own thing and as I've mentioned in previous posts, so am I, in on mission physical fitness.
So this morning, after getting a little more sleep than last night (although I didn't hit the sack at 10:30 - 11:30pm as promised yesterday), I ventured into an abs workout, which was a combination of the routines in these videos from Seah Croxton from Underground Wellness and his buddies.

Pre pregnancy, I used to pride myself in having very strong abs and I remember tensing them and feeling how hard they were after a workout. I haven't done that in years probably. But today, feeling a little brave, I tensed them and to my tremendous joy, they were there, hard than before and not covered in such a think layer of baby fat. It's far from a six pack, but getting further away from a pot belly.
One thing I am also sure of is that sticking to a whole food diet and my metabolic type recommendations is taking me 70% of the way to my goals. Whole foods is great, customised whole foods the winning ticket.
PROGRESS, I LOVE IT :-)
It's sunny again today in Dunstable, but I know I'll be confined to the office for most of the day.
But as I actually did my workout in the garden, on the grass, in the sun this morning (absorbing the wonderful rays and topping up on Vitamin D production), I don't feel too deprived.
Have a great day what ever you get up to today
Take care and stay healthy
